Tata Safari Facelift
Tata Safari Facelift is a new generation avatar of Tata’s iconic sports utility vehicle Safari. The new Safari facelift is based on company’s latest X2 platform which has already been used for Tata’s recently launched crossover – Aria – in the country. Being based on all new ‘X2 platform’, the Safari facelift will be having a number of structural advantages including a more refined engine and a strong hydro-formed chassis sections.
It is expected that the upcoming Safari will be carrying considerably better ride and handling characteristics as compared to the same of its predecessor. The new Safari will come powered by a 2.2L DiCOR engine along with a unique dual-mass flywheel.
Moreover, the new facelifted version of Safari will be carrying an optional four-wheel drive (4wd) that further enhances its prowess on off-road journeys. It has been widely speculated that new Safari may borrow some of its styling cues from Land Rover SUVs.
Same as in crossover Tata Aria, the all new Safari will be hosting spare tyre underneath the vehicle, unlike its predecessor that carries the spare tyre hinged to the rear tail-gate. Tata Safari Facelift is expected to be rolled-out in the Indian market by second half of next year in the price bracket of Rs 7 to Rs 11 lakh.

Engine & Specification of Tata Safari

The new Tata Safari is expected to come blessed with the same 2.2L DiCOR engine available in Aria crossover  that will be capable of delivering a peak power of 140PS at 4000rpm along with 320Nm of peak torque at 1700-2700 rpm.
The powerful engine of new Safari would come mated with VTT Technology that reduces the fuel consumption, considerably. It will carry upgraded G76-Mark II gearbox. The model will be available in both two and four wheel drive options. All variant of this new Tata Safari will be BS-IV compatible which means the emission level of the vehicle will be substantially low.
Performance of new Tata Safari
The new generation Tata Safari facelift will come blessed with more refined engine and a number of performance enhancing features. It will carry a 4x4 mode which will further enhance its prowess on the off-road journeys. Moreover, as the new Safari has been developed on the new generation X2 platform of Tata Motors, the riding and handling characteristics of the car are expected to be better than its existing model.

As this will be a facelifted version of Tata Safari, the front and rear portions of the SUV are expected to carry a lot of upgrades. However, the side body of the vehicle would be the same old Safari styled.
It is speculated that the new facelifted Safari will borrow some of its designing and styling cues from Tata owned Land Rover’s SUVs. Inside, the vehicle is expected to follow the same Aria’s interior theme. The interiors of new Safari are expected to be better built and more functional as against the existing Safari model. The new Safari is expected to come blessed  with all new generation electronic safety features including antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), multiple airbags and ESP.

Honda launched Brio Minicar in Thailand 2011

Late last week, Honda unveiled the production version of its Brio minicar in Thailand. Slated to hit the market in India and Thailand later this year, Honda says that the Brio will "raise the bar and and set a new standard for eco-cars in terms of design, packaging, cabin comfort and fuel-efficiency."
With a base MSRP of 399,900 baht ($14,173 U.S. at the current exchange rate) in Thailand, the Brio will square off against stiff competition from the likes of Suzuki, Hyundai and Kia. Still, Honda expects sales to hit 40,000 units annually.
The Brio comes packing Honda's Euro 4-compliant 1.2-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine with 90 horsepower on tap. The rev-happy mill can be paired with either a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). Honda expects the Brio to return approximately 47 miles per gallon (U.S.).
The Brio is Honda's lower-cost alternative to vehicles likes the Mazda2 and Ford Fiesta, but unlike those subcompacts that are sold in the U.S., the Brio probably won't be.
